A Burger Bash at BASF TOTAL Petrochemical Port Arthur

On November 10, Vapor Point team members assisted with the 6th Annual Burger Bash benefiting the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County. Since 2011, the Burger Bash has been an annual event at BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals Port Arthur, supported by employees and site vendors. It began as a fundraiser to supplement the site’s United Way employee workplace campaign. The mission of this United Way’s chapter is “Advancing the Common Good: Creating Opportunities for a Better Life for All.”

The Burger Bash is a continued success because of the support of the local business community, who help prepare materials prior to the event, volunteer as cooks, and purchase burgers. The BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals plant site completely covers all expenses for the Burger Bash, so all ticket sales go directly to the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County. Funds raised through the Burger Bash support the chapter’s partner agencies and community programs. This year, the BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals cook team, alongside volunteers from area businesses, cooked more than 2000 burgers to raise $10,379. Thank you, BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals Port Arthur, for bringing so many people together for a fun event providing much needed assistance. Vapor Point is honored to help further your tradition of giving back to your local community. Our mouths are watering just thinking about the 7th Annual Burger Bash.
