Follow up: Motiva Convent & Capital Area United Way

The Motiva Convent 2016 United Way Golf Tournament was a great success. Vapor Point was honored to come together with our industry peers to support Motiva Convent in its noble initiative to raise money for the Capital Area United Way (CAUW). All proceeds from this event are invested in programs focusing on basic needs, education, income stability, and healthy living to further the CAUW's vision of a community where everyone is empowered to achieve their full potential. Our award-winning cook team might have missed out on this year’s grand prize, but we enjoyed connecting with everyone who stopped by to see us and try our food at hole #17.

As of this writing, the 2016 fundraising tally is not yet in. The 2015 tournament raised $95,000 for the CAUW’s general fund, which is going to be even more crucial over the next year, as more and more families and individuals are lining up to access CAUW’s relief programs in the aftermath of the area’s recent devastating floods. Thank you, Motiva and the CAUW, for putting together such a beautiful annual event. We look forward to next year’s tournament, and to continuing our partnership with Motiva and the CAUW.
